Ylva Garnert is a London-based Film & TV editor with over two decades of experience in the broadcast industry, known for her skills and creativity across a wide range of genres. Her expertise spans documentaries, fixed rig, competition formats, comedy, cookery, travel, sport, short form, and drama. Ylva is known for her strong narrative abilities and her talent for crafting compelling stories, whether it's developing the format of a new series or bringing a documentary to life.
Ylva's career began in promos and short-form content, where she honed her skills in visual storytelling and pacing. Since then, she has worked on some of the UK’s most popular entertainment shows, including Strictly Come Dancing ITT, I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, Love Island, and The Voice, as well as a diverse range of sports and reality programming.
Currently, Ylva is on the lookout for documentary projects where she can combine her passion for storytelling with a commitment to authenticity and depth.
She is a member of BAFTA, British Film Editors (BFE), Women in Film & TV (WFTV), and the female/NGC editor collective Stitch'n'Bitch.
